In addition to expanding the department, Westover will work with Colliers’ clients in the central region to negotiate and secure local and state economic credits and incentives. Westover was most recently a senior vice president with Cresa, where he led the firm’s five-state Midwest economic incentives practice, securing millions in savings on behalf of corporate and industrial/manufacturing clients. Prior to Cresa, Westover spent more than 11 years in senior-level roles with the state of Illinois Department of Commerce. There, Westover vetted all inbound economic incentive requests and determined the appropriate awards. His recommendations led to the creation of more than 21,000 jobs, retention of more than 60,000 jobs and significant capital investment in Illinois. An active member of the community, Westover was recently appointed to the Chicago District Golf Association’s board of directors.
