Showing faith in the West Loop’s demand for condominiums, sales have begun for a new project, Eveq, ahead of the building’s formal March groundbreaking. Delivery is expected in third-quarter 2020, with @properties serving as the exclusive sales brokerage.
Located at 14 N. Bishop Street, between Washington Boulevard and Madison Street, the five-story, 32-unit property is being built on land owned by the Chicago Pipefitters Local Union 597. The union has owned the property—adjacent to its hall—since 1986.
“Given the anticipated demand for these homes, which benefit from their proximity to leading employers like Google and McDonald’s, construction is scheduled to begin almost immediately, allowing buyers to move in much faster than is typical for new construction,” said Cyndy Salgado, executive vice president of development sales for @properties.
The building was designed by Sullivan Goulette & Wilson Architects, with interiors by Michelle Vance Design. Eveq will feature three- and four-bedroom plans ranging in size from 1,500 to 2,300 square feet. Each residence will include floor-to-ceiling windows and hardwood flooring throughout.
Nearby attractors include the United Center, transit options, several parks and award-winning schools. “Eveq will appeal to a wide variety of buyers ranging from young professionals working in the West Loop and Illinois Medical District to growing families looking for city residences close to great schools and parks,” said Salgado.
The property’s first level will include garage parking and nearly 5,700 square feet of retail space. Eight residential units per floor will occupy the rest of the building.
