Building a Winning Forecast Event

forecast conferenceAfter more than a decade of producing an annual commercial real estate forecast conference, it’s easy to come to some conclusions. Like the conclusion that creating a forecast conference speaking platform is a lot like building a championship sports team—it takes time, patience, and a mix of experienced and rookie, or unsung, experts to put on a solid program from top to bottom.

Such is the case for the 13th Annual Commercial Real estate Forecast Conference that takes place on Tuesday, January 20 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

Look at the speaking roster and you’ll see a mix of forecast veterans, the people like Drew Nieman, CBRE; Shawn Mobley, Cushman & Wakefield; Geoff Kasselman, NGKF; Danny Nikitas, Avison Young; Michael Drew, Structured Development; and Steve Weinstock and John Pryzbla of Marcus & Millichap. Come forecast day, they’ll have their A-game on!

There are also the people who you definitely want to have “on your team” because they are solid performers, very adept at preparation, and you can count on them year-in and year-out. Those are the people like Eteri Zazlavsky of Next Realty, Erik Foster of Avison Young, John Coleman of Transwestern, Alissa Adler of Podolsky|Circle CORFAC International, Mike Rolfs of Hamilton Partners and Mark Boorstein of MJ Partners. Certainly there are others.

Then of course there are the rookies—not necessarily to the industry, but to the forecast—the people you expect great things from because people who are being given the opportunity to make it on the big stage. This list includes Matt Kelly of Earles Architects, Fred Regnery and Alain LeCoque of Colliers, Ari Klein, Cushman & Wakefield, Chris Wood of DTZ, Chris Gary of NAI and Constance Freedman of NAR, among others too numerous to mention.

The rest, well, they are the unsung heroes. At the end of the forecast they all are people we’ll point to and look to the contributions they have made to make the event a success.

So here we are, the general managers of the Forecast. We’re looking ahead to Tuesday and we’re real happy with the “team” we’ve put together. Come join us on Tuesday, January 20th at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. We’re riding a 12-year winning streak for solid Forecast events. With the roster we’ve put together, we like our odds for making that 13 in a row. Click here to register.
