Carlie Wallin joins Principle Construction as assistant project manager

Principle Construction Corp. has hired Carlie Wallin as an assistant project manager. In her new role, Wallin will assist senior project managers in providing direction on several projects from start to finish.

Her position focuses on understanding the entire construction process, while coordinating all aspects of it. Additionally, Wallin is learning the nuances of forming lasting business relationships with clients and contractors. She will work with architects on project design, and work with computer programs such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD and the entire Adobe and Microsoft Office suite programs.

“We have worked with Carlie in the past when she interned at our firm the summer of 2016 and are looking forward to seeing her contribution to design elements, budgeting and scheduling,” said James A. Brucato, co-owner of Principle Construction.

Prior to joining Principle, Wallin was pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Texas. She worked as an intern at Principle the summer of 2016 and has also interned at Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. and Wallin-Gomez Architects.

Wallin holds a bachelor’s degree in architectural studies from the University of Illinois and a pre-architecture certificate from the College of DuPage. In addition to her architectural studies, she worked within the field of historic preservation. Not only did she create a National Register Nomination, she also completed and submitted multiple Historic American Buildings Surveys. Today she is looking forward to applying her architectural background to her new position within a different facet of the construction industry.
