Franchisee John Clancy of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., with the help of Cassidy Turley has purchased the former Red Lobster property at 6186 Glenway Road in Cincinnati and plans to turn it into a Planet Fitness health club.
Construction will begin on the 1.74 acres now that the former Red Lobster has been demolished. The new Planet Fitness will boast about 28,000 square feet, including a cardio mezzanine.
Clancy already owns a Planet Fitness in Lexington and is planning to open another location there in 2014. He also plans to open three of the health clubs in the St. Louis market in 2015.
