CBRE names new managing director for Chicago region

CBRE announced that Joshua Beer has been named managing director, advisory and transactions services | occupier, for the Chicago region. In this role, Mr. Beer will drive the region’s growth strategy for the leasing and consulting services CBRE delivers to occupiers of office, industrial and retail properties.

Mr. Beer joins CBRE from Zebra Technologies, where he served as the global head of real estate strategy and transactions. At Zebra, he was responsible for a global portfolio of 130 properties across 47 countries comprised of traditional offices, flexible and hybrid spaces, and warehouse/manufacturing centers.

He previously worked for CBRE in London as a senior director, advisory and transactions services. During his seven-year tenure, he established Advisory and Transaction Client Solutions in the EMEA region to deliver a standardized data management offering, streamline processes, and drive engaging client transition and transformation programs.

Mr. Beer is a current CoreNet Chicago board member, winning the CoreNet Global Luminary Award in 2014. In his previous role at CBRE, Mr. Beer was a recipient of the EMEA Advantage Award in 2016 and the CBRE GCS Innovation Award in 2015.
