Cedar St., a leading diversified holding company headquartered in Chicago, purchased their fifth property in the heart of the Fulton Market district this week. Currently, Cedar St. owns four commercial buildings in the area and has an effort to continue developing their retail and office offerings in Chicago’s premiere office location district.
Cedar St. purchased the building for $6,250,000 from a private long-term owner, and financed by Thorofare Capital. The asset is located at 1144 W. Fulton, in between May St. and Racine Ave. in the Fulton Market/West Loop sub district. Cedar St. plans to re-tenant the building by bringing in a National retailer on the ground floor.
“Retail space is largely valued in the Fulton Market district and we’re always exploring opportunities to acquire property that will allow us to curate unique commercial retailers,” said Alex Samoylovich, managing partner.
