Demand for coworking spaces continues to rise in the Chicago area, with a new study showing that this market saw the fastest growth in this sector during the first quarter of the year.
According to CommercialCafe’s Office Quarterly Report, the Chicago market added more than 1.1. million square feet of coworking space in the first quarter.
Chicago was the only market in CommercialCafe’s study to see more than 1 million square feet of coworking space added in the first quarter.
CommercialCafe reported that during the first quarter more than 3.2 million square feet of coworking space was added across 17 of the 22 largest office markets in the country.
This marked a slight increase over the 15 markets that saw coworking growth in the fourth quarter of last year.
