There has been one confirmed case of COVID-19 at the One South Wacker office building in Chicago’s Loop. New York-based 601W Companies acquired the 1.2-million-square-foot building in 2018 and JLL manages the property.
An employee of one of the office tenants was tested on Wednesday, March 11 and the positive result was confirmed late on Friday, March 13. Because this case has been confirmed, the affected tenant and all its employees have fully vacated their office. The empty space will remain quarantined for at least 24 hours per CDC guidelines, at which point a professional cleaning crew will perform enhanced cleaning procedures.
One South Wacker will remain open for business.
