California-based National Stores, Inc. has selected Chicago’s Ford City Mall as the location for its flagship Fallas discount store in the Midwest. The flagship store is targeted to open to the public tomorrow.
Fallas is a family-owned company established in 1962 that grew from a single store in downtown Los Angeles to more than 200 locations primarily in the Southwestern U.S. Fallas sells family apparel, footwear and home goods.
“We are pleased that Fallas has selected Ford City Mall for its Midwest flagship location, providing even more value and variety for our shoppers,” said John Sarama of U.S. Equities, manager of Ford City Mall. “There is a pent-up demand in the community for more family retail businesses like Fallas, and we know the store will be a hit with shoppers this holiday season and for many years to come.”
The 22,545-square-foot store will be located in the mall’s north side-out parcel off Cicero Ave., adjacent to Anna’s Linens. Fallas will join the mall’s well-established roster of more than 135 stores and restaurants, including Carson Pirie Scott, JCPenney, HH Gregg, Old Navy, Bath & Body Works, The Children’s Place, Footlocker, Marshall’s and Victoria’s Secret.
