Chicago-based Related Midwest donated more than 800 turkeys Nov. 20 to construction workers on its three active Chicago developments: One Bennett Park in Streeterville; Lathrop, along the north branch of the Chicago River on the city’s Northwest Side; and Landmark West Loop, near the Illinois Medical District on the southern end of the West Loop.
Executives and employees from Related Midwest visited each of the three sites to bag and gift turkeys, and to personally thank the on-site construction teams.
“As one of the city’s most active developers, we wanted to start this holiday tradition as a way to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for the contractors who are instrumental in realizing our vision for each project,” said Don Biernacki, Related Midwest’s senior vice president of construction.
2017 marks the inaugural year for Related Midwest’s Thanksgiving turkey giveaway.
