Development firm Clarius Partners LLC and FCL Builders celebrated the groundbreaking on Sept. 13 for Clarius Park Joliet Building No. 1, the first building in a new industrial business park located on Youngs Road in Joliet.
Clarius Park Joliet will consist of four Class A industrial facilities totaling 2.5 million square feet situated on a 185-acre infill land site. The first phase of park infrastructure is complete and the first building is under construction. Clarius Park Joliet Building No. 1 is a 1 million-square-foot facility that has been designed for maximum flexibility with state-of-the-art specifications, ideal for light manufacturing, distribution or warehousing, and especially for organizations with a focus on regional or national distribution.
The speculative development, located in the City of Joliet, in close proximity to the I-55 and I-80 interchange and the BNSF and UP intermodal facilities, is designed to meet a consistently growing demand for well-located, accessible and large industrial space by companies servicing local, regional and national warehousing and distribution needs.
Clarius Partners is managing the development of the project on behalf of an institutional owner. FCL Builders is the general contractor and Heitman Architects is providing the architectural services. Clarius Park Joliet Building No. 1 is scheduled for completion in February of 2013.
