Colliers International | Chicago’s Tony Karmin and Corby Marx represented Scopelitis, Garvin, Light, Hanson & Feary, P.C. (Scopelitis), a full-service law firm representing clients in the transportation and logistics industry, in its new 13,424-square-foot, long-term lease at the Inland Steel Building in Chicago. Scopelitis is expanding from its space on the fifth floor of the building to occupy the entire 16th floor.
Located at 30 W. Monroe Street, the Inland Steel Building is LEED Gold Certified and consists of a 19-story office tower with 250,000-square-feet and a 25-story service tower. The building features an onsite fitness center, bike room and restaurant. Mark Buth and Kelsey Morgan of MB Real Estate represented the landlord, Capital Properties, in the deal.
“Scopelitis is a long-term tenant at 30 West Monroe, having been in the building since 2003,” said Karmin, a principal at Colliers | Chicago. “With a favorable location between Chicago’s courthouses and on-site amenities such as an underground parking garage, our client opted to remain within the building and expand and modernize on a higher floor.”
