Colliers International’s David Burden, Patrick Hewitt, Jim Abarta and Grant Zumidio represented ServiceNow, a Silicon Valley-based enterprise cloud software company, in a 47,000-square-foot lease in Chicago’s Fulton Market neighborhood. ServiceNow will occupy the fifth and sixth floors of 1201 W. Lake Street, which will serve as the firm’s Midwest hub office.
“ServiceNow looked in a few different submarkets but was immediately drawn to Fulton Market, as it offered everything they were looking for,” said Burden, a principal with Colliers | Chicago. “Drawn to the cutting edge atmosphere, new construction, abundant amenities and attractive location for recruiting leading talent, 1201 W. Lake Street was the perfect fit for their growing workforce.”
The recently opened property, Twelve01West, was developed by McCaffery Interests and designed by Antunovich Associates. The seven-story, 135,000-square-foot, Class A office building, built by W.E. O’Neil Construction, offers a penthouse amenity space, 9,000-square-foot outdoor deck, 45 secure indoor parking spots and 11,000 square feet of ground-level retail. The property recently received a Wired Silver certification from WiredScore, the first building in Fulton Market to do so.
ServiceNow will move to the building in July and expects to double its headcount by the end of the year. Craig Coupe, Mike Curran and Brad Despot of JLL are handling office leases for the property.
