Construction on a new Walmart Supercenter on a 28-acre site at 22401 Central Ave. in Richton Park, Illinois, is now complete.
Novak Construction built the pre-cast and steel building, which includes two detention basins, a frontage road, retaining wall, parking for 800 cars and a full‐service fueling station. The interior included a full grocery, produce and bakery area, vision and photo centers, electronics and sporting goods departments, credit service station, an indoor/outdoor garden center and indoor pharmacy with connecting drive‐thru window.
In addition, the adjacent roadways were widened to accommodate the new store and traffic signals that were added to the intersections. Additional off‐site work was completed at the I‐57 ramp and Central Avenue.
