Construction on the first of five planned distribution facilities at the $129 million Lakeside Logistics Center in St. Peters, Missouri, is underway.
Contegra Construction broke ground on a 490,000-square-foot distribution center for developer NorthPoint Development. The facility will be completed by the end of this year.
Located on a 190-acre site at 16000 Spencer Road, the Lakeside Logistics Center will capitalize on its proximity to Highway 370 and Interstate 70 and is just 15 minutes from St. Louis Lambert International Airport.
The first building being erected by Contegra will be constructed of tilt-up concrete panels with a 36-foot clear height and features space that can be subdivided for up to four tenants. The single-load facility will be served by 51 dock doors and seven drive-in doors all on one side of the building. Four office spaces will be available along the walls opposite the dock doors.
The building will be topped by a TPO roof and will have parking space for 490 cars and 134 trailers.
NorthPoint has master-planned Lakeside Logistics Center to host up to five buildings totaling 1.6 million square feet of space.
