Andrew McDonald is the new chief executive for the Americas at Cushman & Wakefield. He replaces former chief executive Shawn Mobley.
McDonald previously served as president of Cushman & Wakefield’s Western region, where he ovesaw operations in California, Texas, Colorado, Arizona, Washington, Utah, Nevada and Oregon.
McDonald began his career in commercial real estate at ASIMCO, private equity firm based in Beijing. He returned to the United States in 1999, where he worked for Cushman Realty Corporation. That company merged with Cushman & Wakefield in 2001.
Mobley also has a long history with Cushman & Wakefield. He spent nine years at the company, including time spent as the company’s Chicago market leader. He began serving as chief executive officer of the Americas since 2017.
Mobley wrote on his LinkedIn page that he is assessing his career. He also wished McDonald the best in his new post.
“What I’ll miss most about Cushman & Wakefield is, of course, the people,” Mobley wrote. “I want to thank each and every one of my colleagues for inspiring, teaching and challenging me to be better.”
