Cushman & Wakefield announced today the firm represented locally based Globetrotters Engineering Corp. in renewing its lease for 23,376 square feet at Golub’s 300 South Wacker in Chicago’s CBD.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Josh Feldman represented long-time client Globetrotters Engineering, while Golub’s Sandy Macaluso represented ownership.
With the new lease, Globetrotters will improve its space and maintain more than 175 employees on the building’s third and fourth floors, where it previously occupied floors two and four. The long-time tenant, which has occupied 300 South Wacker since the 1980s, also will completely reimagine and redesign its workspace at the boutique office building overlooking the Chicago River.
“Our company has been headquartered in Chicago for 49 years,” said Ajay Shah, Globetrotters’ CEO. “On the eve of our 50-year anniversary, we are proud to renew our lease for another 11 years in Downtown Chicago.”
Added Cushman & Wakefield’s Feldman, “Globetrotters is doubling down on its commitment to Chicago and the essential nature of its workplace. Its legacy at 300 South Wacker is an important piece of the firm’s culture, but Globetrotters also recognized the need for a new, modern office space and amenities to better serve its corporate strategy, as well as attract and retain top talent. For both clients and employees, it will be a destination.”
