The new headquarters building of Baldwin & Lyons, a client of Indianapolis-based Cushman & Wakefield|Summit, was awarded Best Office Transaction of 2013 at the NAIOP Indiana chapter’s annual awards program.

In 2012, Baldwin & Lyons hired Rich Forslund and Matt Waggoner of Cushman & Wakefield|Summit to assist in its search of a new location for its headquarters.

Thanks to the research and market analysis provided by Forslund and Waggoner, Baldwin & Lyons purchased Lauth Property Group’s 120,000-square-foot property at 111 Congressional Blvd. in Carmel, Ind., the largest owner-user office purchase in 2013.

A redesign converted the previous call-center space into a Class-A corporate environment. The makeover included an upgrade of HVAC and electrical systems; an interior build-out to create necessary office space, meeting and break rooms; new flooring throughout; and new modern and environmentally friendly interior finishes.
