Darwin Realty & Development Corporation announced that Darwin’s Director of Brokerage Adam Haefner and Chairman George Cibula, SIOR, represented both the buyer and the private seller in the acquisition of 7035 West 65th Street in Bedford Park, Illinois, a 437,910-square-foot industrial facility on 13 acres.
The buyer, Professional Freezing Services, is relocating and expanding from its current location on 44th Street in Chicago. The firm has plans to demolish the existing facility and build a new state-of-the-art 150,000-square-foot freezer/cooler facility on the site, which is in close proximity to Interstate 55 at Harlem and 1st avenues.
“After searching the market for a number of alternatives, this transaction was an economical way for our client to acquire land for a new state-of-the-art facility,” said Haefner.
Family owned Professional Freezing Services offers a variety of temperature controlled services including product tempering, dry storage, cooler storage, freezer storage, and blast freezing.
