Chicago-based commercial general contractor Development Solutions, Inc. (DSI) has completed renovations of the Regus office project at 2 Prudential Plaza, 180 N. Stetson, Chicago. DSI was hired to build updated co-working office space for the international leader in co-working solutions as they modernize their facilities to keep pace with new office styles.
“DSI was integral in the redesigning concept of the Regus space. The new floor plan consists of more well-lit open areas which allow more individuals to use the space,” said Bryan Herren, senior project manager, WB Interiors.
DSI’s main goal was to open up the floor plan from enclosed offices and corridors to wide open, bright space. By removing all of the interior walls, the layout could accommodate new space for individual desks, larger kitchen/dining area and additional seating. The new design makes a dramatic effect on the space and Regus and its customers eagerly awaited the change.
“Despite the challenges of coordinating all of the subcontractors’ access to the building, DSI was able to complete the project within the tight schedule,” said Jason Winter, superintendent at DSI.
