DICK’s Sporting Goods will soon open in Independence Center, a shopping mall in Kansas City, Mo. The store will open in early 2016, and the news of its arrival comes after the announcement of other retail options now open or coming soon to the mall, including Kids Foot Locker and PINK.

“Independence Center continues to evolve, adding the latest and best shopping concepts to the benefit of our customers,” said Angela Pyszczynski, general manager at Independence Center, in a written statement.

DICK’S Sporting Goods is a full-line sporting goods retailer. The new store will be located on the lower level near Sears.

In addition to DICK’S Sporting Goods, the center has recently announced the addition of Kids Foot Locker, which is now open on the upper level near Build-A-Bear Workshop in the Sears Wing, and PINK, which will open this summer on the upper level in between Aldo and Claire’s in the Macy’s Wing.
