The Board of Directors of Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI) announced the promotion of Doug Dayton, P.E., to President of PSI. Mr. Dayton has a 15-year history with PSI and has served the company in a variety of management roles, most recently as Chief Operating Officer. He will split his time between his office in Dallas, Texas and PSI’s Corporate Office in the Chicago area.
Mr. Dayton will consolidate the roles of President and Chief Operating Officer in his new role as President of PSI. He has responsibility for the overall performance, growth, sales, profitability, technical quality, and safety of all of PSI’s operational branches and companies. As stated by Murray Savage, PSI Chief Executive Officer, “I expect 2015 to be a great year for PSI. And, I am confident that Doug will continue to be a great executive level partner and champion PSI’s continued success as President.”
Mr. Dayton holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. As a Professional Engineer in four states, he has more than 28 years of experience in the engineering field specializing in environmental, geotechnical and drilling operations, and construction materials testing. He is an active member of several associations including the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), ACEC Design Professionals Coalition (DPC), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Geoprofessional Business Association (GBA) and Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE).
