Chicago’s DTZ represented SMS Millcraft, LLC in a 98,495-square-foot lease renewal at the company’s manufacturing and warehousing plant in the Great Lakes Industrial Center in Gary, Ind.
Pittsburgh-based SMS Millcraft supplies off-line maintenance for metals producers in the United States. The Gary plant provides repair and reconditioning of continuous caster components. It also builds and repairs material-handling equipment.
This represents the third lease renewal in the past several years that DTZ senior vice preisent Anthony Burns has assisted tenants with at this location. Total lease renewals in 2011-2013 for clients MPC, BMI Vesuvius and SMS Millcraft at the same industrial center have totaled 425,422 square feet of space.
