The Columbus office of Duke Realty Corporation is building a 482,300-square-foot bulk warehouse in the intermodal campus of Rickenbacker Global Logistics Park just southeast of Columbus, Ohio.
Rickenbacker Global Logistics Park is a 1,576-acre, multi-modal industrial development with highway, air and rail connectivity. It is being developed through a partnership between Duke Realty, Columbus Regional Airport Authority and Capitol Square, Ltd.
Prior to the start of construction on the speculatively developed building, INNO-PAK, LLC, a designer, manufacturer and distributor of packaging products for North American companies, agreed to lease 53 percent or 253,838 square feet upon its completion. The modern bulk warehouse, which will be known as Intermodal North Building 3, is being constructed on a 33-acre site between Rickenbacker Parkway and Rickenbacker International Airport, adjacent to American Showa’s distribution center, which Duke Realty recently delivered.
“Interest in Rickenbacker Global Logistics Park has grown as companies are working to identify sites that will help them reduce transportation costs by improving efficiencies,” said Art Makris, vice president of leasing and development for Duke Realty’s Columbus office, in a statement. “Its U.S. Foreign-Trade Zone status, overweight hauling designation and rich transportation infrastructure all combine to give clients a complete package of logistics options and efficiencies.”
Construction on Intermodal North Building 3 began in July with delivery slated for early 2016.
