Englewood Construction’s Restaurant Group recently secured a project for Macerich and Darden Restaurants Inc. that will deliver a new Seasons 52 to The Shops at North Bridge, a Chicago shopping center on Michigan Ave.
Englewood will perform landlord infrastructure work for Macerich at a 9,249-square-foot space and then commence a build-out for Seasons 52, a national fresh grill and wine bar, at the same location. Seasons 52 is owned and operated by Orlando, Fla.-based Darden Restaurants Inc., a key client of Englewood.
The Shops at North Bridge is one of Chicago’s top shopping destinations, encompassing multiple levels, with entrances along North Michigan Avenue and Rush Street. It boasts more than 70 luxury retailers and restaurants, with anchors such as Nordstrom, Sephora, Armani Exchange and the new Microsoft retail store.
The infrastructure work will consist of building a demising wall for a service corridor, bringing in an 800 amp electrical service, installing new HVAC handlers for the future tenant and a massive grease separator. The architect for the project is Chicago-based Griskelis Young Harrell.
The work is projected to be complete in February of 2013.
In March, Englewood will commence the build out for Season 52. This will be Season 52’s 35th location in the U.S. Season’s 52 has presence in the Chicago area, but this will be the restaurant’s first location in the city of Chicago. The restaurant will occupy ground-floor space at the corners of Rush Street and Grand Avenue. Orlando, Fla.-based Cuhaci & Peterson Architects will work with Englewood on the build out.
