Englewood Construction has taken on two new restaurant projects in Chicago: the city’s first Earls Kitchen + Bar in the New City development near Halsted Street and Clybourn Avenue, and a Buffalo Wild Wings in the Maxwell Building at Clinton and Taylor streets.
“These two Chicago eateries show that restaurant owners are confident in the improving economy and the future of Chicago,” said William Di Santo, president of Lemont, Ill.-based Englewood Construction, in a written statement.
Earls Kitchen + Bar, an upscale casual dining restaurant with 61 locations across Canada and five in the United States, selected Englewood Construction to build its first Chicago venue. It will open in the fall of 2015.
The New City development that will be home to Earls is bound by Halsted and Schiller streets and Ogden and Clybourn avenues. It will include 1 million square feet of commercial and residential space on 8.5 acres.
Englewood is also building a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood at the corner of Taylor and Clinton streets in the recently built Maxwell Building. This restaurant will open in the fall of 2015.
