Financing veteran joins Walker & Dunlop as head of FHA healthcare financing department

Michael Vaughn recently joined Walker & Dunlop as senior vice president and head of the company’s FHA finance healthcare department.

Vaughn now manages origination, underwriting and quality control of all healthcare loans made by Walker & Dunlop.

Before joining Walker & Dunlop, Vaughn held several positions at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Most recently, he served as the department’s director of the office of residential care facilities. While in this position, Vaughn was directly responsible for the origination and asset management activities related to the $1.75 billion portfolio of Section 232 Insured Mortgages on Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities.
