FitzGerald Associates Architects PC names three new equity partners

This week, Timothy Blatner, James Broughton, and Steven McFadden became equity partners of FitzGerald Associates Architects PC.

They join current partners Patrick FitzGerald, Michael DeRouin, and Richard Whitney as the firm’s ownership group. As equity partners, all three will play a role in strategic planning and setting the firm’s business direction.

“We’re pleased to broaden the leadership team by adding Tim, James, and Steve, who, in addition to having decades of experience, each bring a distinct perspective to our leadership team,” Patrick FitzGerald, Chairman and Managing Principal, said. “Each has demonstrated talent in mentoring the firm’s staff of emerging leaders as well as a commitment to the unique culture that distinguishes our firm as a great place to work and a provider of high-quality architecture. With this addition we’re even more strongly positioned to advance our goals and serve our clients better than ever.”

The current partnership represents the sixth generation of ownership in the firm’s 97 year history, beginning with Maurice Rissman and Leo Hirschfeld in 1919.

The firm also announced this week that Blatner will take on the role of Principal, from his previous role as associate principal.

In his new role, Blatner will join the firm’s other principals in the maintenance and enhancement the firm’s many industry relationships and will collaborate with the group to guide future marketing efforts. Tim will also continue to focus on quality control and risk management for the firm.
