Fourteen inspired and dynamic winners were announced at the third annual Urban Land Institute Chicago Vision Awards held on June 4, 2014 at Redmoon Theater in Chicago.

The Vision Awards honor projects and programs that use creative development practices, inventive partnerships or sharing of resources, imaginative problem solving, or visionary ideas contributing to the growth of vibrant communities.

“The Awards program identifies some of the unique projects happening in neighborhoods across the city and suburbs that are creating positive change and can be replicated in other areas ” said Teri Frankiewicz, Vice President Community Development, Crown Community Development, and co-chair of the Vision Awards.

The 2014 Vision Awards winners were named in the following categories: project, program, and young visionary.

“We received a broad range of nominations that makes participating on the jury so exciting and choosing winners so rewarding. All of the nominees should be commended for their extreme hard work and creativity” said Nila Leiserowitz, Managing Principal, Gensler, and jury member for the Vision Awards.
