The Grubb and Ellis Co. Rosemont/O’Hare office recently finished nine industrial transactions in excess of $29 million in and around the O’Hare Airport sub-market.
The transactions include:
Porecca Freight expanded its business by leasing 32,700 square feet at 71-77 Garlisch Drive, Elk Grove. The new tenant’s facility includes 16-foot ceilings, 15 percent office, 12 docks, 100 car parking and I-90 frontage. Brian Carroll and Tyler Hardy of Grubb and Ellis represented the lessor, the Happ Family. Rick Daly of Darwin Realty represented Porecca.
The 35,908-square-foot building located at 1281 Arthur Ave., Elk Grove, sold to Cozzini Inc., commercial equipment company, which is relocating from Des Plaines. The building features 12 percent office, 20-foot ceilings and two docks. Dave Mitidero and Jared Paff of Newmark Knight Frank Epic worked on behalf of Cozzini. Brian Carroll was on the Grubb and Ellis team representing AMB Property Corp., now Prologis.
Amerifreight purchased the 70,000-square-foot, two-building complex on 9.75 acres at 1160-1200 Ellis Ave., Bensenville. One building of 28,000 square feet houses corporate offices, vehicle maintenance bays, a wash bay and paint booths, and the second building of 42,000 square feet provides vehicle maintenance and storage. About five acres of the site will be used for trailer and other vehicle storage. Tom Rodeno and Jonathan Kohn of Colliers International represented Amerifreight relocating from Elk Grove.
