BOMA/Suburban Chicago’s 24th Annual Day at the Races event was a great success— more than 275 members and friends gathered in the International Room overlooking the Arlington International Racetrack in Arlington Heights on August 14. The day was filled with peer networking, food, fun, and the excitement of live horse racing.
Funds were raised through the ticket auction and centerpiece drawing for BOMA/Suburban Chicago’s 2015 charity, Hesed House in Aurora.
Guests even sported their most outrageous hats to participate in BOMA’s Hat Contest and although the competition was close, Kristen Hagberg won the Derby Diva category; Dan Flores won the Dapper Dan; and Megan Burns for Hatitude.
At the end of each race, losing bet tickets were collected, and the “Lucky Losers” won gift cards and gifts courtesy of BOMA members. The day’s event also included two feature prizes, which were awarded to Mike Coletto and Mary Jean Neuberg.
