A 24,000 SF retail building sold at 5742 Northridge Drive in Gurnee. The property was previously operating as Gurnee Antique Center and will be re-launched as Gurnee Antique Market. The building and business sold for $1,200,000. Dennis Arndt, Paul Cawthon, and Angelo Labriola of SVN | Chicago Commercial represented the seller in the transaction.
“The business was owned and operated by a couple looking to relocate to Texas and we were able to procure a local investor motivated by the potential income and his antique-loving wife,” Cawthon said.
“The new business is planning to revamp its marketing and online presence to bring more life to an antique center with a lot of potential,” Labriola added.
The property was previously marketed as an industrial building and not as a retail/investment sale when SVN | Chicago Commercial stepped in to take the reins and market the sale. Through their marketing efforts, a buyer was procured who was not looking directly for an Antiques business, but a solid income producing property.
