Holland Construction Services, Inc. recently began work on two projects on the campus of Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Holland was selected for a $6 million expansion of Spartan Field to upgrade the facility for intercollegiate athletic competition. The project includes the addition of a new running track, new bleacher system, concession area, three additions to the existing field house, press box finishes, scoreboard, sports field lighting, as well as a pedestrian trail and bridge system to better connect the facility to the main campus.
Holland is simultaneously working on a $1.2 million remodel of the University’s Jung-Kellogg Library. The 10,665 square foot renovation involves structural modifications to remove existing walls and columns to give the library a more open/modern feel and improve traffic flow. New flooring and finishes are also being added throughout the library to create a fresh new look.
Holland is working in conjunction with Ittner Architects and the Design/Build team comprised of Jarrell Mechanical Contractors, Finch Plumbing, Excel Fire Protection and Kaiser Electric. Work is scheduled to be completed this fall.
Holland previously completed several other projects at Missouri Baptist University including construction of the Spartan Village on-campus housing complex (multiple phases), new training facility for their nursing program, and Phase 1 of Spartan Field featuring a new football training facility and practice field.
