Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has signed a long term lease for approximately 106,000 square feet at the One Pierce Place Building within the Hamilton Lakes Office Park. One Pierce Place is a joint venture between Hamilton Partners and Long Wharf Real Estate Partners LLC. HMH, a global learning company and a leading provider of pre-K-12 education content and services, will relocate from its current location in Rolling Meadows by the third quarter of 2015. This will be HMH’s second office in the Itasca area.
HMH’s new Itasca offices will house approximately 340 employees. “We are thrilled that Houghton Mifflin Harcourt is expanding it’s presence in Itasca,” says Itasca Mayor Jeff Pruyn. “Our community is a regional center for professional office and industrial parks, and Hamilton Lakes is one of the region’s best office communities. The combination of location, convenient access, competitive tax rates, and amenities make it an attractive place for companies like Houghton Mifflin to locate.”
Patrick McKillen represented Hamilton Partners and Alex Smith and Jordan Rovito of Cushman and Wakefield represented Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in the transaction.
