Brad Borkowski, associate with the Industrial Services division, HSA Commercial Real Estate, represented two third-party logistics tenants in separate lease transactions totaling more than 100,000 square feet in Chicago’s I-88 corridor:

  • 2707 Eola Road, Aurora: Borkowski and Tim Thompson, executive vice president and managing director of the Industrial Services division, negotiated a 59,521-square-foot lease on behalf of Midwest Warehouse, a third-party logistics firm, at an industrial facility located at 2707 Eola Road. The 251,768-square-foot multi-tenant building located just north of I-88 is owned by Manulife Financial and was represented by David Prioletti and Kip Hennelly of CBRE in the lease transaction.
  • 1801 N. Hawthorne Lane, West Chicago: Borkowski represented Atlanta-based Best Warehousing & Transportation Center Inc. in a 56,051-square-foot lease renewal at a West Chicago industrial facility owned by DCT Industrial Trust. Best Warehousing, a third-party logistics firm specializing in full-service, client-specific solutions, selected the facility as its first in Illinois. David Prell and Kirk Armour of CBRE represented ownership in the transaction.

“The pace of transactions is fairly steady right now, especially in key distribution submarkets like the I-88 corridor,” Borkowski said. “The vacancy levels have been on the decline for some time, and we expect that trend to continue through 2012.”
