Layne Hurst has been named vice president of affordable housing for Indianapolis-based Birge & Held.
Hurst has more than 10 years of experience as a leader in the affordable housing market in the Midwest, with expertise in property management, affordable housing acquisition and rehab, regulatory compliance and strategic growth.
Previously, Hurst served as a regional vice president for Wallick Communities.
As vice president, Hurst will oversee the expansion of Birge & Held’s affordable housing work. A resident of Cincinnati, he earned his bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Cincinnati and is a Certified Property Manager candidate with the Institute of Real Estate Management.
