IRG Rubber City and Summit Development have reached a deal with Hilton Worldwide to bring a Hilton Garden Inn hotel to the East End development in Akron, Ohio.
The hotel will sit at the corner of East Market Street and Kelly Avenue on a portion of the former Goodyear world headquarters campus. Construction on the hotel should begin this summer, with a tentative completion date set for June of 2014.
The new hotel will stand five stories and total 88,000 square feet.
The East End is a redeveloped mixed-use project promotion a live/work/play concept on the former Goodyear world headquarters campus.
