J.C. Anderson has completed a 65,000-square-foot office renovation for an insurance firm’s new headquarters located at the Aon Center, 200 E. Randolph Street, Chicago.
The multi-floor renovation consisted of building out offices, workstations, executive suites, conference rooms, huddle rooms, a break room, an executive bathroom including a shower, a new internal stairwell as well as new light fixtures and painting throughout, all on a tight deadline. The construction team for J.C. Anderson was led by project executive John Angelovich, project manager Matt Kantro and superintendent Darrel Panfil. Hydzik Schade Architects provided the architectural services.
“After considerable design and coordination for the new stairwell and mechanicals, we were able to provide our client with a new, open and collaborative environment that the firm was searching for,” said Angelovich. “Creating a more open office space allowed for the firm to relocate into Aon Center from about the same size they had at its prior location, while leaving room to add about 180 employees to its staff.”
J.C. Anderson recently completed another headquarters build-out at the Aon Center for MERGE. Located in downtown Chicago overlooking Millennium and Grant Parks on the eastern edge of the Loop, the Aon Center is an 83-floor skyscraper. Completed in 1973 by renowned architects Edward Durell Stone and Perkins + Will, the Aon Center is currently the third tallest building in Chicago and the eighth tallest in the United States.
