Kansas City, Missouri-based Flaherty & Collins Properties has hired John LaPorta as a construction project executive who will oversee two forthcoming projects the company has in development in Washington, D.C., St. Elizabeths East and Diane’s House.
The first phase of the St. Elizabeth’s East campus re-development is a $100 million project, which includes the conversion of seven historic hospital buildings into 252 mixed-income rental apartments
LaPorta has worked in the Development/Construction industry for 36 years and has completed more than $3 billion of products for investors and owners of real estate. As a structural engineer, LaPorta has been involved with the design and construction of more than 6 million square feet.
