Kansas City’s Hunt Midwest promotes two, hires three

Kansas City-based Hunt Midwest has promoted two members of its management team and hired three new employees to support the volume of development projects it has underway and in the pipeline.

“The ongoing growth and success of Hunt Midwest is due in large part to the knowledge and creativity of our team,” said Ora Reynolds, president and chief executive officer. “In this rapidly-changing real estate environment, the expertise and perspective of our new and veteran employees is essential in identifying new development opportunities and executing on our expansion into new geographic markets.”

Justin White has been promoted to Senior Director of Operations and will continue oversight of facilities, security, property management and capital improvements for SubTropolis, the world’s largest underground business complex.

White joined Hunt Midwest in January 2018 as Director of Operations, a then newly-created position in the commercial real estate division.

Tony Borchers has been promoted to Senior Director of Acquisitions and Development. Borchers joined Hunt Midwest in February 2019 as Director of Acquisitions and Development, a then newly-created position, to drive Hunt Midwest’s expansion both locally and regionally and has been a key contributor.

Tyler Schyvinck has joined the commercial division as Manager of Facilities, where he will draw upon his eight years of increasing responsibility in the field of facility operations to supervise ongoing maintenance, light construction and grounds operations for SubTropolis and areas within the Hunt Midwest Business Center. Schyvinck is certified in OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health, licensed in Fire Fighting 1 and 2 in Missouri, and a member of the International Facility Managers Association.

Bret Richardson has joined the corporate services division as Asset Manager where he will guide third-party management and operations of Hunt Midwest’s multifamily, senior housing, and self-storage properties. Richardson enters this newly created position equipped with more than 10 years of industry experience and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and business administration from the University of Kansas.

Ally Sherwin has joined the residential division as Marketing Coordinator. In her role, Sherwin will apply the experience she gained as social media manager at Lakota Coffee Company to establish and execute a variety of marketing strategies promoting Hunt Midwest’s single family, multifamily and senior housing communities. A California native, Sherwin attended the University of Missouri where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and recently moved to Kansas City, Missouri, to begin her career in marketing.
