Kathleen Herrmann has been named a principal technical specialist in the Chicago office of Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.
In her new role, Herrmann, will manage the drafting, review, and interpretation of contracts and prepare grant requests for transportation infrastructure projects, primarily for the Chicago to St. Louis High Speed Rail Program.
Herrmann comes to Parsons Brinckerhoff from a Chicago engineering firm, where she was contracts manager responsible for managing contracts and securing federal funding agreements for the Illinois High Speed Rail Program.
Previously, she was deputy general counsel at the Chicago Transit Authority and serving as liaison with the Chicago Transit Board.
Herrmann received a J.D. degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, a master’s degree in urban planning from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a B.A. in sociology and history from Northern Illinois University.
