KeyBank Real Estate Capital expands in midwest with new VP mortgage banker role

KeyBank Real Estate Capital, the commercial real estate business unit of KeyCorp (NYSE:KEY), today announced the appointment of Samantha Miller to vice president and mortgage banker. She is responsible for new business development and relationship management as part of a team providing off-balance sheet financing solutions for private real estate owners, investors, and developers. Miller, who is based in the firm’s Chicago office, reports to John Hofmann, senior vice president and regional production manager, KeyBank Real Estate Capital.

“We’re excited to have Samantha join our team with a proven track record at Freddie Mac,” said Hofmann. “Through our integrated platform, she will be able to leverage her experience and relationships to best serve our clients.”

Prior to joining Key, Miller was a senior producer in multifamily production and sales with Freddie Mac. She spearheaded the student housing originations and originated $2.5 billion year-to-date of multifamily debt across the Central Region,  Miller also specialized in manufactured housing, homesharing, lease up and value-add transactions.

Miller serves as an elected board member for mPact, an organization focused on promoting the leadership and development of young professionals in the commercial real estate industry.  She is also an elected junior market representative for the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association and a member of the Real Estate Financial Forum.

Miller earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a real estate/urban land economics and marketing major from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
