Kraus-Anderson started construction on a new early childhood learning center and an outdoor activities complex for Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. Both projects are designed by Wold Architects & Engineers.
The new $37.77 million, 75,000-square-foot Early Childhood Learning Center located at 1825 Storm Street will be built behind the Sauk Rapids-Rice High School. The new building will feature improved safety and accessibility, and will include age-appropriate playground equipment. The center, scheduled to open in August 2027, replaces the existing outdated Hillside building in Sauk Rapids, welcoming the district’s youngest learners as they begin their education.
The new $18.1 million outdoor activities complex located at 1833 Osauka Road will feature two new multipurpose turf fields along with track and field, a softball field, and spaces for physical education classes, the marching band and other activities. Improvements also will be made to ticketing areas, concessions, storage areas and restrooms. Construction is expected to be completed for the high school’s fall 2027 opening.
