Kraus-Anderson has begun construction on a $8.3 million renovation of Hillcrest Community School for the Bloomington Public Schools District in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Designed by Wold Architects, the 55,000-square-foot remodel features architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing upgrades. Construction is expected to be completed in time for the beginning of classes in the fall.
Hillcrest Community School is among dozens of major K-12 construction projects KA will work on this year during its “Summer Sprint,” a critical, concentrated time during the summer months when school is not in session and when crews can perform work that ranges from new school construction to upgrades to deferred maintenance projects.
