Kraus-Anderson completed a $3.5 million renovation of Clover Shopping Center on W. 98th St. in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Owned by Engelsma Limited Partnership and designed by Tanek, Inc., the renovation included 16,000-square feet of exterior finishes. The project included the demolition of the metal roof and canopy overhangs, and the reconstruction of the exterior with new signage, storefronts, wall framing, masonry brick, roofing, stucco, fiber cement siding and sidewalks. Construction began in October of 2024.
Clover Shopping Center has also added Salons by JC, which leases beauty and wellness salon suites, as its newest tenant. The new 8,123-square-foot salon opened last month on September 30.
In the late 1950s Kraus-Anderson developed and built Clover Center, Bloomington’s first shopping center. The original site was owned by the Oxborough family, who were among the original settlers of Bloomington. They claimed land and operated farms that once occupied almost an entire square mile between 86th and 94th Streets west of Lyndale. As a result, this part of Bloomington has long been known as “Oxboro.”
