Kraus-Anderson completed construction on a new $30.47 million civic campus for the City of Chanhassen located at 7700 Market Blvd. in Chanhassen, Minnesota. The new campus revitalizes the city’s downtown by consolidating municipal services while strengthening downtown connectivity and community use.
Designed by BKV Group, two-story, 40,945-square-foot facility includes a new city hall, council chambers and senior center. The city’s growing population has outgrown the current municipal building, which was built in 1981.
The project also creates a new destination park system with recreation and gathering spaces, including a playground, splash pad, skate park and pickleball courts. A four-season park centrum building features a performance and plaza space for events and ceremonies.
Under-building parking and new surface lots were added, as well as a paved courtyard at the library entrance.
The campus features the existing Veteran’s Memorial.
Construction began in June of 2024.
