Brian Laskov completed the sale at 2833 West Armitage in Logan Square, near neighborhood favorites: Table, Donkey & Stick, Parson’s Chicken & Fish, and Bang, Bang Pie & Biscuits. Laskov represented the purchasers, Albert and Marlee Hasson. Seasoned Chef Stephen Hasson will open an Italian concept later this year. Chef Hasson’s credits include Chef de Partie at acclaimed restaurant 16 at the Trump Tower and the exclusive Alinea. From 2009-2011, he worked under the direction of Executive Chef Patrick Sheerin at The Signature Room. Lievito, Italian for yeast, will have a modern diner feel. The Italian driven menu will change seasonally and feature homemade pasta and flat bread pizzas.
Scott Reinish facilitated the sale of Bevy at 215 West Ontario Street, in the center of Chicago’s club district. Sound Bar, Spy Bar, Y Bar, Cuvee and the newest addition, Shay, are all steps from the 7,500 square foot venue. The new owners will open the remodeled upscale nightclub later this year.
Jarrett Fradin negotiated three restaurant leases in Chicago’s Bucktown, Lincoln Park and Old Town neighborhoods. Fradin represented the owners of Lincoln Park’s Pasta Bowl, who will be opening their second location at 1852 West North Avenue. The original Pasta Bowl has been a neighborhood favorite since 1996. Known for serving fresh pasta dishes in an open kitchen, front-row bar seating allows diners to watch chefs create their entrées from start to finish. Pasta Bowl is slated to open this spring replacing Bucktown’s Manee Thai.
Fradin also represented Los Angeles based, JF Dining, Inc., the group behind JINYA Ramen Bar. They will be opening their first Mid-West location at 553 West Diversey in Lincoln Park. JINYA Ramen Bar currently has eleven locations primarily in the Los Angeles area with additional posts in Las Vegas, Houston, Seattle and Vancouver. JINYA is known for serving a savory ramen noodle known as “Tonkotsu” in rich, flavorful broths. The acclaimed ramen spot is slated to open this summer.
Ryan Marks, formerly a partner and Director of Operations with Big Onion Tavern Group, has branched off to start It’s All Good Chicago, LLC. Fradin represented Marks in the lease at 1527 North Wells. His first venture will be a sports bar in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood. A veteran in the hospitality industry, Marks’ latest concept will incorporate dark woods, weathered leathers, and vintage photographs creating a classic bar feel. The 4,000 square foot bar will feature multiple flat-screen TVs, outdoor seating, and traditional American plates paired with an extensive beer and cocktail list. The Vig opens its doors this summer.
