KW Commercial recently sold The Mankato Place and Brett’s Building portfolio, a three-building, 144,925-square-foot development in downtown Mankato, Minnesota. The tenant roster features an assortment of general retail, restaurants, governmental agencies and general office tenants.
Matthew Klein, investment specialist in KW Commercial’s Eagan, Minnesota, office, represented the buyer, a private local investment group, in this off-market transaction.
Awsumb & Associates Inc., and its affiliates, were chosen as the redevelopment agent for downtown Mankato by the Mankato City Council in 1994. The multi building project, which has maintained high occupancy for over 20 years, was completely re-developed and includes many energy-saving technologies. Last year the project received a “sustainability award” from the “City Center Partnership”. Awsumb & Associates Inc. will continue in the management and leasing of the project.
