Rick Scardino, a 26-year veteran who founded the retail division of Lee & Associates‘ Illinois office in 2010, has been promoted to principal.
An expert in retail brokerage in the Chicago market, Scardino has closed numerous high-profile retail deals in his tenure with Lee & Associates Illinois, including the sale of the former Gold’s Gym and four new Red Robin leases in 2013.
Before joining Lee, Scardino was the president of Affinity Commercial Real Estate, a full-service boutique real estate brokerage firm that he founded in 2003. He is also a former broker with Grubb & Ellis for nine years, where he earned numerous accolades. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and has been a member of the ICSC Illinois State Board since 2002.
